My journey, and how it all began.
I created House of Self because I believe our bodies are what houses everything within us such as our mind, energy body and spirit. The word “house” also represents a safe place to return to when searching for inner peace and wisdom. I believe our journeys begin when we take greatest care of the most important house of all, ourselves.
In my 30’s I discovered energy healing through Reiki, crystal therapy & various sound healing modalities which gave me the additional tools I needed to help maintain a more centered self. I decided to take the courses needed and further my studies in these fields so that I could help others also find their balance & connection.
I have been married twice, once as a young adult. I have two children from that relationship, my first daughter and my only son.
I married my soulmate in 2006 and had our second daughter.
I am now a grandmother and have my first grandson at the age of 41 (in 2019) and could not be happier about it! He is a new bundle of light in my life!
I have one sister who is my best friend and a pretty large family over all! So many family members that it is hard to keep in touch regularly with everyone, but we have all been there right?
I am a stone and rock collector and definitely believe they have more of a purpose than just looks. I can feel the energy they omit and have always been attracted to them since childhood. I am continually studying crystals & stones discovering new ways to use them in daily life to help with anxiety, mindset and overall self care. I have been able to see energy fields around objects, plants, animals & people since I can remember. I describe it as seeing heat waves on pavement during a hot summer day; sometimes I even see colors of auras too. I became a Reiki practioner in 2019 because of my deep connection with energy.
Outdoors is the life for me! I am at my most calm state of mind when I am outside and in nature. Some even call me the animal whisperer because of all the critters that just come to me on their own.
I have traveled to some amazingly beautiful places. The furthest I have traveled is to Tahiti and Bora Bora, but my go to favorite is still the Cayman islands, particularly Grand Cayman. Part of my soul is always there.
I give gratitude and thanks daily to all of my life’s experiences because they have lead me to a place where I can guide others along their most authentic journeys.
